Musical director: Thomas Becker	The musical career of Thomas Becker resembles mainly to that of many people who are professional musicians or who are maybe appointed to music: After the first piano playing at an early age and the identification of particular leanings - trombone - Thomas Becker attended the professional education at different universities to the point of his musical profession nowadays: orchestral music, church music, brass music ,dance music and jazz, even the participation in circus orchestras has contributed to the opportunity to adopt a large stilistically well-founded range of musical modes of expression. The knowledge that he acquired due to this practical experience is the basis of his profession in the Police Orchestra of the Saarland today. By and by, a considerable number of compositions for the various kinds of arrangements has been developped, last but not least compositions for the brass orchestra, symphony orchestra and choirs. His basic principle is as follows: It is not important what is played, but how (it is played).

	Rainer Dietrich has been working in the most different categories of music since 40 years. In addition to his occupation as director of the Big Band of the Police Orchestra he spent precious time in his function as conductor of various orchestras of the Saarland. He gained experience by private studies at Professor Wolfgang Bast, Heribert Ziegler and Alex Schillings. Although he has worked in the field of professional folk music for a lot of years (lastly as singer together with Helga Reichel at Ernst Mosch's "Egerländer Musikanten"), his main hobbyhorse is still the pop, rock and swing music. Rainer Dietrich plays the saxophone in the brass orchestra. But he also gives the band a particular personal touch especially due to his singing. With a huge number of self written compositions for the Big Band and the brass orchestra he fulfills nearly all wishes that the audience of such a group of musicians may have.
