Philosophy
There
is no better media for the police to get in touch with people
in an uncomplicated way but by music!
That is the task of the "Police Orchestra of the Saarland"
with its tradition going back to 1929. Today a wind-orchestra
and a big-band carry the sound of the well known international
march-music al well as the sound and melodic hits of the swinging
40's , German hits of the past and modern jazz-rock all over
the South-Western part of Germany and the neighboring regions
of France.
Beside this, ensembles for chamber-music fullfill classical
demands.
All members of the orchestra are police officers who are on
normal duty too.
